Probably still buggy, but you really gotta try this out. Forget about typing/copying filenames! Just use numbers instead.

Ended up building with Python instead.
What this release can do:
bash
gitn status or simply `gitn`
will show you git status with numbers next to filenames.
You can then use these numbers instead of the filenames in future git commands.
Essentially every command is supported, and all unsupported commands are bypassed straight to `git` itself.
Probably still buggy, but enumerating your filenames will now elminate the need
