Still quite beta but I believe to be fully functional public release.
If your python environment is configured and working you should be able to run this by downloading and running
python setup.py install
then
papaltv
If all goes well you'll get

papaltv --help
usage: papaltv [-h] [--host HOST] [--cmd CMD] [--commands]
optional arguments:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
--host HOST apple tv hostname
--cmd CMD issue a single command then quit
--commands lists information on avilable commands
