First release of **soi-mcp** — IRS income & tax statistics by ZIP, inside your agent. 10 read-only tools over IRS Statistics of Income (SOI) data: the real AGI distribution (the six IRS brackets), income, tax, refundable credits (EITC), deductions, filing-status mix, ZIP comparison, and state totals — aggregated from actual filed returns, not survey estimates. **No API key.**
Install

- **Claude Desktop (one-click):** download `mcpwright-soi-0.1.0.mcpb` below → Settings → Extensions → Install from file… **Nothing to configure** — the first ZIP question downloads the SOI dataset into a local store, then every later lookup is instant and offline.
The `.mcpb` is a `uv`-type bundle: the host installs the correct-platform dependencies at install time (no vendored libs). Same recipe as [edgar-mcp](https://github.com/mcpwright/edgar-mcp/releases/tag/v0.1.0) and [census-mcp](https://github.com/mcpwright/census-mcp/releases/tag/v0.1.0), verified working in Claude Desktop — but zero-config (no key, no env vars).
The SOI ZIP release lags ~2–3 years; tax year 2022 loads by default, and `mcpwright-soi refresh <year>` loads an older year for comparison.
