New features introduced in this release:

The Save/Load feature providing players with the capability to save their game progress and load it later. This feature includes three distinct save file slots, allowing players to choose the most convenient slot for their progress. Each save file also displays the timestamp of the save occurrence, ensuring transparency and clarity regarding the time of the save.

Codebase Enhancements: This release also focuses on improving the codebase for enhanced maintainability. By refining the underlying code structure, optimizing functions, and organizing code segments, the overall maintainability of the game has been significantly improved.

In this release, several new features and improvements have been introduced to enhance the gameplay experience:

Power-up Messages: Whenever a power-up is acquired, a descriptive message is now displayed on the screen, providing players with clear information about the effect they have received. This helps players make informed decisions and adds to the overall engagement.

Ship Selection: Players now have the ability to choose from a variety of different ships, each possessing unique statistics. Ships may offer advantages such as increased speed, higher HP, or enhanced firepower. This feature adds depth and strategic choices to the gameplay, allowing players to tailor their experience to their preferred playstyle.

Comprehensive Testing: Testing has been conducted for the entire project to ensure the stability, reliability, and quality of the game. This leads to a smoother gameplay experience and minimizes the chances of encountering unexpected issues.

Gameplay and Balance Improvements: Numerous adjustments have been made to improve the overall gameplay and balance of the game. This includes enhancements to mechanics, controls, enemy behavior, and more.

This release includes significant enhancements to both the code structure and gameplay experience. Notably, several new features have been implemented, including the addition of a new weapon, an exciting game mode, new sound effects and new power ups/downs. The user interface (UI) has undergone substantial improvements, further enhancing the overall visual appeal and usability of the game.

In this release, the game was balanced providing an enjoyable challenge for players of all levels. Adjustments were made to game mechanics and difficulty levels to ensure a fair and engaging experience.

In this release, you will be able to experience the exciting game that I have been working on.
Alien-Onslaught is an action-packed space shooter game that challenges your shooting skills and reflexes. You'll have to take on fleets of aliens and boss fights to progress through increasingly challenging levels and earn a high score.
As you play, be sure to collect ship power-ups that will enhance your gameplay. The game contains variety of game modes, including Boss Rush and Endless Onslaught, as well as both single-player and multiplayer.
