0.4.0

Not secure
This is a development release. You may find bugs.

This release makes many changes to the cryptography used inside Krptn. It also adds a nice greeting message. As a result, data, and users, encrypted by previous releases, cannot always be read by this release.

To solve this problem, you will need to erase all data by running the below, and erasing your custom set databases.

shell
python -m krypton --clean

In future, data migration tools will be available, but, because this is a development release, it is not yet developed.

0.3.4

Not secure
This is a development release. While we encourage you to check it out, you may find bugs.

In this release, we have changed the loading of OpenSSL's FIPS provider. From environment variables, we have transitioned to programmatically setting the location of modules, and other configurations.

This will prevent conflicts if the user is running some other OpenSSL related code using the same Python instance.

Please report any bugs 🐛!

0.3.3

Not secure
This is another development release. While we encourage you to check it out, it is very likely you will find bugs.

In this release we have removed Django from our installation requirements. This means the people using Flask or other web frameworks will not need to install Django just to use our code.

We have also added better version strings inside __init__.py!

Please report any bugs🐛.

0.3.2

Not secure
Happy new year all!

This is a development release. While we encourage you to check it out, you may find bugs.

In this release we are excited to present that we have added support for more platforms. The current list of platforms for which we have pre-built wheels are:
- x64 Intel Windows
- x86 Intel Windows
- ARM64 Windows
- x64 Intel Linux
- x64 Intel MacOS
- Apple Silicon (i.e. ARM64) for MacOS

It is likely that our code will also work on many other platforms though we have not tested them. Please open a GitHub issue if it doesn't work for you.

Please open issues for any bugs 🪲.
