2.2

JoanneBogart has made most of the truth catalogs for Run 2.2 available via GCRCatalogs. These truth catalogs can also be accessed via [PostgreSQL](https://github.com/LSSTDESC/DC2-analysis/blob/master/tutorials/postgres_truth.ipynb).

- `dc2_truth_run2.2i_galaxy_truth_summary`
- `dc2_truth_run2.2i_sn_truth_summary`
- `dc2_truth_run2.2i_sn_variability_truth`
- `dc2_truth_run2.2i_star_lc_stats`
- `dc2_truth_run2.2i_star_truth_summary`
- `dc2_truth_run2.2i_star_variability_truth`

This release will be installed on DESC environments on NERSC shortly (thanks to heather999). Note that you can also use `desc-python-bleed` to access the master branch (build every Monday).

Please report any issues/bugs by [opening an issue](https://github.com/lsstdesc/gcr-catalogs/issues). You can ask questions in the [#desc-dc2-users](https://lsstc.slack.com/archives/CBUMARLKC) channel of the LSSTC slack team.

2.0

_Thanks for j-dr_
- The `buzzard` catalog now points to Buzzard v2.0 (alias of `buzzard_2.0.0_3`)

Improvements
- Method `get_quantity_info` now work on several photo-z catalogs (thanks to morriscb and sschmidt23).
- Quantity `snr_{band}_cModel` is now available again in object catalogs.

This release will be installed on DESC environments on NERSC shortly (thanks for heather999).

1.9.0

Integrate (optional) use of the [dataregistry](https://github.com/LSSTDESC/dataregistry) as the repository for catalog metadata rather than the traditional method, which extracts metadata from catalog config files.

1.8.0

Newly added catalogs

- `roman_rubin_v1.1.3_elais:` This catalog is a variant of roman_rubin_v1.1.2_elais that uses an improved tuning of the SED model parameters. The resulting luminosity distributions are in better agreement with the validation data (COSMOS 2020 and DESCQA tests).
- `roman_rubin_v1.1.2_elais`: This catalog was produced for the joint roman-desc image simulations using differentiable, forward modeling techniques. Predictions for the galaxy SEDs are based on their star-formation hsitories. Sky area covers the ELAIS field and is ~110 sq. deg.

(Thanks to evevkovacs)

1.7.0

Newly added catalogs

- `roman_rubin_2023_v1.1.1_elais`: This is the 110 sq. deg. extra-galactic catalog covering the ELAIS field for the Roman-Rubin image simulations for LSST DESC that has been created with fully forward modeled SEDs (thanks to evevkovacs)

1.6.0

This release includes new "SkySim" galaxy catalog (also known as DiffSky; Not to be confused with the SkySim5000 catalog series), and new versions of the "SkySim5000" catalogs.

Newly added catalogs

- `skysim_v3.1`: prototype of new galaxy catalog (also known as DiffSky) produced with differentiable, forward modeling techniques, sky area (~400 sq. deg.). Not to be confused with the SkySim5000 catalog series.
- `skysim5000_v1.2`: latest SkySim5000 catalog, with bug fixes for ellipticity and concentration values; tidal torque fields added, full sky area (~5000 sq. deg.)
- `skysim5000_v1.2_image`: same but only covers the image simulation sky area (~400 sq. deg.)
- `skysim5000_v1.2_small`: same but only covers a small sky area (~50 sq. deg.) for testing purposes
- `skysim5000_v1.1.2`: preliminary version of new SkySim5000 catalog, full sky area (~5000 sq. deg.) (0<z<1)
